Aayirathi Oruvan - Gallery

Director Selvaraghavan, known to make films over a prolonged period, defends the delay in many of his projects, including the one awaiting release, ‘Aayirathil Oruvan’.

“Earlier, actors in the industry came from a theatre background. They exactly knew how to emote and how to act. But actors today face the camera as novices and need to be trained in it. This makes it hard for us, filmmakers like me, Ameer or Bala. “And imagine how much coordination of performances it would take for a film like ‘Aayirathil Oruvan’ which Has over 2,000 junior artistes,” explained the director, adding that such filmmakers need the complete support of their producers. “Despite the delay the film faced, my producers Raveendran from Dream Valley Corporation never complained. Without his smile, my film would have never happened,” explained the director.

‘Aayirathil Oruvan’ has Karthi, Reema Sen and Andrea in the lead.
